What would be the best type of mother of the groom dress?

What would be the best type of mother of the groom dress? My son is getting married.  I am 48 years old 5’4” 200lbs and probably 40lbs is my chest. I wear a size12/14 bottom but my breasts are huge naturally…so not medically enhanced (which means there is gravity). I want to look classy but not old.

Weddings are such happy occasions and you want to look your best being the mother of the groom. To find the best mother of the groom dress, you may need a personal shopper to help you or have your dress custom made.

Most important is downplaying your breasts. Get fitted for new undergarments before looking for your dress. There are minimizer bras that support and lift you up plus other new shapewear options to choose from.

A dark color (navy blue) long, very simple dress with a V neckline, no waistline, and 3/4 length sleeves would be perfect ( and a good investment) with matching color heels. You can carry a glitzy clutch bag. If you go with a shorter dress wear dark stockings and dark shoes.

Draw attention upward away from your body with statement jewelry, flattering makeup, and an up-to-date hairstyle.

What Should the Mother of the Groom Wear?
You are the Mother of the Groom. You want to look great and make a good impression at your son’s wedding. How do you begin to choose an outfit? If you can, talk to the bride about her color scheme for the wedding and find out what type of wedding she is planning (daytime or evening).

Can I go without stockings to my son’s wedding?
A son’s wedding is a wonderful event and you want to dress up and look awesome for this big day. If the wedding is in a place where the weather is hot and humid and your legs look decent there is no need to wear stockings. On the other hand if the wedding is in the winter or where the weather is cold wear stockings. Stockings give your legs a polished look. You can find ultra, ultra, sheer stockings that are practically invisible online or at stocking boutiques like Fogal of Switzerland or Wolford. A sales associate in a leg covering department can help you find the sheerest stockings they carry. If you don’t think your legs look great an option might be to wear a long dress. FYI- the fashion divas don’t wear stockings with open toe shoes.
