The Covid-19 virus has made it necessary for us to curtail our normal activities making it difficult to keep those extra pounds off. However in order to be healthy and look good we need to keep our weight down.




Below are 3 steps to help you maintain your weight.

1. Calculate the right weight for your height, age and body type using an online weight calculator.

2. Calculate your daily calories to maintain your ideal weight. Once you know how many calories you need to maintain your weight you can plan your meals (and portions). Keeping in mind the number of calories in the foods you eat at each meal. If you are not burning up the same amount of calories you eat, you will see an increase in your weight. 3. Exercise (including housework) and/or a daily walk will help you burn calories every day.

Start your day by getting on the scale. If you gained more than 1/2 pound, review what you ate the day before and try to pinpoint what caused the gain. Make an effort to reduce some intake (fewer calories) to lose the additional weight.

Drink a glass of water. Water will rid your body of toxins and gets your metabolism going. Drink plenty of water during the day. Water is good for digestion, healthy kidneys and skin.

Eat the right foods.
Vegetables: All of them. It is best to eat a variety of vegetables every day.
Whole fruits: Apples, bananas, strawberries, etc.
