What are the Holiday Shoe Trends 2020?

‘The fact is, sometimes it’s hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then – to make the walk a little more fun.’ – Carrie Bradshaw

A great thought! We all need a little more fun in our lives now which is a great excuse to add a pair of special shoes this holiday season. No matter what you go for they will be good for a number of years if they fit you and are comfortable. Remember you’ll wear the shoes you buy now well beyond this season.

Trends are always glitzy during the holidays. If you want to add color, go with fuchsia shoes. Shoes with straps like Mary Jane styles are very hot. Another big trend is the kitten heel. Animal print shoes are classic; so always a great investment. Casual hybrid styles that combine slippers, shoes and sneakers are a practical solution. Just about any style of footwear comes in an embellished form whether mules or over the knee boots.

If you are staying in this holiday season or tiptoeing out something new will lift your spirits so why not treat yourself to a new pair of shoes.

Should the color of your shoes & purse match?
Shoes and purse colors do not have to match. A basic black and white outfit and black shoes looks fabulous with a bold colored purse. Not only is it a modern look, the bold color adds a POP of color to what you are wearing.  The modern woman wears contrasting colors, textures and patterns at the same time. A brown dress might look awesome with an orange or yellow purse and nude color shoes. With a navy blue dress or suit you can wear a navy patent bag and green or crimson color shoes. Below see a denim outfit with a brown bag and red shoes, a black dress with black shoes and an animal print bag and orange pants paired with a blue bag and red shoes. Experiment to find more cool color combinations.
