There are certain wardrobe pieces that are fall basic must haves that are the work horses of any fall fashion.
Blazers are one of the more useful pieces in everyone’s wardrobe. They are versatile and give you a put together look. Blazers are available in a number of styles. Casual styles are perfect for weekends or with jeans or casual pants. The classic navy blue blazer says professional and works for job interviews and business events. A blazer in a dressy fabric such as velvet, brocade or metallic looks chic for evening.
Leather/faux leather can be worn year-round and is essential for every wardrobe. Also there is something youthful about wearing leather. A leather jacket, skirt, pants or coat are perfect for fall and can elevate your look to on-trend. Also, accessories in leather look expensive and elegant.
Turtlenecks are perfect to wear in the fall and this time of year there are a large selection of colors and prices to choose from. Wear with jeans, pants and skirts. Turtlenecks keep you warm and you can layer sweaters and/or vests over them in the fall.
Booties/ankle boots are the most worn shoe in fall, winter. They are versatile and will elevate your look. Style booties/ankle boots with jeans, dresses, and skirts (both minis and maxis).
Booties with high shafts and tight around ankle look great with dresses, skirts and leggings. Lower ankle boots go best with jeans that allow a little ankle to show but will work great with dresses and skirts too.
Style with jeans and tees for a casual look or pair with a dress for the office or a date night.

Can you wear different types of leather together?
Different types of leather together give a modern and stylish look to an outfit. Full-grain, calfskin, lambskin, snakeskin, crocodile, and sheepskin are some of the different types of leather that shoes, handbags, and accessories are made from. Many times they have different textures/finishes (pebbled, washed, wrinkled) and are dyed in different colors. When mixing leather stick to no more than two or three different textures in an outfit. Go ahead and mix your leather. For example, a lambskin skirt with a snakeskin handbag looks very chic. Handbags and shoes can have different textures and/or colors. Experiment to see how different leather textures and colors look together.
Can I wear ankle shoes with a cocktail dress?
Ankle shoes are very much” in style”. There are many styles and colors of ankle shoes/boots out there to choose from. They look very stylish with cocktail dresses. Ankle shoes that are delicate looking, with thinner straps and tapered heels, would be more dressy with a cocktail dress than heavier-looking style shoes that have wide straps and chunky heels. With dark color cocktail dresses, a delicate black strappy ankle shoe/boot is very modern and chic. If you are wearing a print dress, with black in the print, or a colored dress a black ankle shoe will be perfect. Add a black jacket/wrap and/or black bag and you are good to go. Light color dresses look fabulous with neutral / bone or metallic color ankle shoes.
