Can I wear a crop top to a wedding?

Can I wear a crop top to a wedding? Can I wear a crop top to a wedding? I’ve noticed in all the shops I usually go to (ASOS, ZARA, Topshop) that crop tops are in fashion and are everywhere at the moment. I wonder if, at 26, I can wear one to a summer wedding or are they too young for me?

A crop top is a casual top worn on the upper body and cut short revealing the stomach. Not very appropriate for wedding attire. You never wear clothing that takes attention away from a bride on her wedding day. Maybe a teenager or younger person that attends a casual outdoor wedding in the summer or hot climate might be able to get away with a cropped top that is in good taste and does not expose too much skin.

A cropped top outfit can be appropriate for a cocktail party or black tie affair.

Dressing Tips for Wedding Guests
Wedding guests want to look stylish and be in good taste. Knowing what type of wedding you will be attending is the first step. Is it a casual backyard wedding? A beach wedding? A barn wedding? A formal wedding? or a semi-formal wedding?

What should I wear to a wedding when “formal attire” is specified?
A formal wedding is very dressy and usually means the event is in the evening and requires formal attire. When “white tie” is specified on a wedding invitation you should wear a floor length dress. When “black tie” or “black tie” optional is specified on a wedding invitation a cocktail dress, floor length dress or dressy pants and top are appropriate. Today a cocktail dress is considered more modern than a floor length dress for most formal black tie or black tie optional events. Weddings are to celebrate and dress up.
