Do I need to wear stockings to a Charity event?

Do I need to wear stockings to a Charity event? I plan to wear open toe strappy sandals with my dress.

There is no rule that suggests you must wear stockings when attending a charity event. Open toe strappy sandals generally look better without stockings if your legs have a nice color and you have a good pedicure. Also, if the weather is warm there is no reason you need to wear stockings to a charity or any event. For very formal events ultra, ultra sheer stockings with closed toe pumps or slingback style shoes can add a polished look to an outfit and give your legs a flawless look. In the winter or in cold weather stockings will keep you warmer.

Go Without Hose or Wear Stockings?
Today many young women don’t own a pair of stockings. You see the younger generation walking around the city in business suits during the day and out in the evening without stockings winter and summer.

Can I wear stockings or pantyhose with strappy heels?
Never wear nude color pantyhose or stockings with strappy sandals. They do not look chic and you will look like an old lady wearing neutral color hose with open toe shoes. Exceptions would be colored sheers, such as sheer black hose /  stockings or tights. Both work with strappy sandals or open toe shoes. Closed toe pumps and slingback style shoes look dressy with stockings or pantyhose. If the wedding is in a hot climate and you have good-looking tan legs you can wear strappy sandals with bare legs.
