Wearable Sculpture by Amy Smith
I came across wearable sculpture and Amy several years ago at her Flying Color Studios. Amy was participating in an Open Studio event in Sebastopol, California. She designs and custom makes fabulous hats and fascinators that add personal style to anything you wear. Amy uses quality materials, usually straw for Spring / Summer, and felt – (either new or recycled vintage) – for Fall / Winter. She blocks the material on antique blocks and usually finishes her creations by hand, adding beads, feathers and other embellishments.
