What to pack for a July river cruise in Europe? I will be taking a river cruise down the Danube river from Budapest, Hungry to Vilshafen, Germany.

A July river cruise in Europe sounds relaxing and fun. In general the weather will be hot.. Some days might be hotter than others. Take as little as possible for the most enjoyable trip. River cruises are casual and you will see women wearing everything.

Take into consideration what activities you will be doing and what clothes to wear for those activities. Put your outfits together ahead of time with the accessories you will be wearing. That way you will have what you need and not a lot of extra clothes.

Light weight shorts, pants, and skirts with tops that are washable and interchangeable are essential. Cotton, linen and polyester dresses are comfortable on cruises too.

Bring two pairs of walking shoes and one pair of shoes/sandals for evening.

Be sure to have a sweater for air conditioning on the boat and in restaurants, etc. Bon Voyage!
