What color hose should I wear with a navy blue lace cocktail dress?

What color hose should I wear with a navy blue lace cocktail dress? The dress is mid calf & my shoes are fabric the same color, mid heal (navy hose or neutral?)

A navy blue lace cocktail dress sounds awesome! When deciding what color stockings or hose to wear with your cocktail dress take your height into consideration. Since the dress is mid-calf you are probably a tall woman. If you are very tall, neutral color hose will be very stylish with your navy blue dress and navy shoes. Sheer black hose would also look good with a navy blue lace dress. Sheer colored hosiery looks better for dressy events. If you are on the shorter side very sheer black hose would give you a taller appearance. (Navy hose might look too matchy, matchy with your navy dress and shoes.) Open toe shoes are not usually worn with neutral color sheer hose today.
