What are the best travel clothes for hot weather?
Travel clothes for hot weather can be a real challenge. Washable, light weight separates or shift style dresses that can be washed out and dry fairly quickly are the best for traveling in hot weather. Avoid linen (it wrinkles) and cottons (heavy-don’t dry fast), if possible. Do an Internet search for travel clothing.
A day of sight seeing leaves one sweaty and you can’t wait to take your wet clothes off and cool down in the shower.
For a vacation of 2 or 3 weeks several pairs of shorts/pants or skirts in a light summer color (eg. blue, pink, yellow) and 4 or 5 tops that work with that color and 1 or 2 washable shift style dresses for dinner will give you enough different outfits.
A few pieces of jewelry to accessorize your clothes will add interest to your outfits.
A sweater that you can wear if it gets cool should be enough in air conditioned spaces but probably not needed in hot climates.
Some clothes that wash and dry easily have these names on their fabric descriptions: polyamide, elastane, polyester (film fiber), viscose, rayon and tencel or mixture of serveral. They are perfect for travel clothes in hot weather.
Washable clothing is easy to pack and does not take up as much room in your suitcase.
