Ways to Get a Great Bra Fit
How To Measure Bra Size for Great Bra Fit
Knowing how to find the right size bra now will help you with your health and your self esteem for the rest of your life! Whether you have questions about how to bra should fit, or simply how to pick one out, the below tips will make sure you get a great fit for the rest of your life.
Get measured – According to a recent study, 75 – 80% of women wear the wrong size bra, simply because they’ve never been measured and don’t know the secret to finding a perfect-fitting bra. Go to the lingerie section of a department store – the ladies there will be able to measure you for the right size. Here’s how it works:
Band size – This is done by wrapping the measuring tape around the middle of your chest and keeping it straight around the back. If the measurement is odd, they will round it up to the next even number.
Cup size – The tape measure is wrapped around the fullest part of your bust. Then, the band measurement is subtracted from this measurement. The difference is your cup size. For example, if your band measurement was 31 inches and your cup was 32, your cup size is A.
Get measured twice a year – This is especially important throughout your life, as your body is changing constantly. And, as bras get washed, they’ll stretch and lose their original shape.
Look through styles – Find the style that suits you best.
Having the right bra plays an important role in your health, posture, and confidence. Take the above tips into consideration, and make sure you choose one that suits you well now – and forever.
- Buy bras fastened on the outermost hooks & move inward as a bra stretches out with wear.
- An underwire should lie flat on the breastbone & aline with the rib cage
