Can sweaters be washed in a washing machine? The pullover sweaters I have are acrylic/wool and not expensive. I found hand washing a sweater does not always work.

As long as these are not expensive sweaters you should be able to wash your acrylic/wool sweaters in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle of your washing machine. You can put a sweater in a mesh laundry bag for protection.Do not put in the dryer but lay flat to dry and you may want to press with a low heat before you wear.

Always follow the washing or dry cleaning instructions if you have expensive sweaters or you could ruin them.
