Does a guy need a suit or blazer for a wedding?
Does a guy need a suit or blazer for a wedding? I don’t have a suit or blazer. Can I wear black trousers, a black pullover, white shirt and black shoes. I will wear a quilted black bomber jacket since the weather is cold.
A suit or blazer is more acceptable attire for a male wedding guest. Traditional attire for a male attending a wedding is a dark (gray, black or navy) suit with a white shirt and tie. Unfortunately not everyone follows the traditional rules.
If you can’t afford a suit or blazer wear a tie with your black sweater, white shirt and black trousers. Suits and blazers (at least one) are essentials and great investments that you will wear for many years.
Dressing appropriately for events such as a wedding shows respect.
