Are stretchy form-fitting pants with seams dress pants? I am in the process of addressing a dress code issue re: women’s dress pants. Are yoga, spandex and leggings with seams dress pants?

Stretchy, form-fitting pants are designed to be worn for yoga or other exercise. Pants with seams that are form-fitting and are made with stretchy fabrics such as jeggings don’t qualify as dress pants. Some tailored style pants that have fabric with some stretch are dress pants. If you are wanting to define dress pants for a work dress code requirement something like: tailored pants with some stretch, not stretchy form-fitting pants, are dress pants. Fashion can be very confusing today because women are wearing anything they want whether it is in good taste or not.
