Spring fashion “tune up”. Spring is almost here. It is the time to do a wardrobe, fashion “tune up” for warmer weather. The dilemma is what is in style? Today style trends are all about casual and comfortable. Clothes that are required in today’s world are for women who are busier and more active than ever. Trends that translate into easy to care fabrics and classic or simple styles that you can vary for different looks with accessories.

One thing in all of our favor is that there are few if any fashion rules and women have begun to break all the rules that ever existed. This makes it easier for everyone to wear what they want and still be on trend. The secret to tuning up your wardrobe and being on trend this spring is to wear clothing that looks good on you and that fits you perfectly whether it’s pants, skirts and /or dresses.

Denim

What’s big this season? Activewear with performance fabrics, sheer fabrics, denim, a fashion trench, bold color blazers, sneakers, slides, kitten heels and belt bags. You can lift your look with something metallic. Mix and match polka dots and stripes with florals. When looking for accessories think color if your wardrobe features neutral colors. Ruffles are big this season but sometimes too girly looking.

Start your spring / summer fashion tune up by going through your warm weather clothes and give away anything that does not fit and/ or flatter you. Also get rid of things you don’t wear any longer. Make a list of what you would like to wear based on your lifestyle and activities.  Next do some Internet searches for items you are interested in buying and add them to your wardrobe.
