Should I wear nude, navy or black hose? I am 56 years old, 5’6, 180# going to my nieces wedding next week. I am wearing a navy-blue knee length dress with navy blue shoes. I will be wearing a silver shawl as the dress has straps. 

Black hose or navy-blue hose/stockings would be great with your navy-blue dress and navy-blue shoes . Dark stockings will elongate your look since you are wearing a dark color dress. Try sheer black and sheer navy hose to see which you think looks best with your outfit. Black shoes and black hosiery look awesome with a navy-blue dress also.

Nude color hosiery will give you the appearance of looking shorter.
