What is “SEXY” today?

The traditional definition or viewpoint of what is sexy today has been something that men are attracted to in a woman’s appearance. It could be anywhere from hairstyle (on the top) to footwear (on the bottom). It has been something the male saw in a female’s appearance that appealed to a man’s sexual fantasies or flirtatious instincts. However, the meaning of what is sexy today is being replaced by a more diverse set of criteria that is much more inclusive than just a female’s body.

Given the diversity in types of relationships, is there only still a male to female attractiveness underlying the concept?

Victoria Secret, which for decades focused on skinny models showing as much skin as was acceptably possible, has decided to cater to the needs and comfort of females with little regard to how their clothing and or bodies are viewed by males. If Victoria Secret’s marketing change is based on an analysis of a shift in societal thinking, then perhaps Webster’s and/or Wikipedia may have to re-examine their definitions or descriptions of “sexy”.

When one feels comfortable in their achievements and/or his, hers or other’s appearance, then perhaps you probably present a more attractive persona to whomever you interacting with. However, clothing, hairstyle and/or makeup can also create this feeling of being comfortable with self, which will add to your confidence level.
