What color of shoes should I wear with a red dress?
A red dress can be worn with a lot of different colors and styles of shoes. Neutral colors such as black patent leather, nude/cream color or metallic ( gold, silver, pewter) will work with a red dress. Other options are print shoes (animal print or floral print) would rock a red dress.
If the dress has a different color belt (black patent) you might want to wear matching black patent leather shoes or a print shoe with black in it. Another option is to carry a handbag (animal print) that you have and wear matching color animal print shoes. Experiment and have some fun. Different color accessories will give you different looks.
Tip: Shoes that match your skin tone will visually elongate the leg.

Finishing Touches: Belts
No matter what time of the year belts are a popular accessory and are a way to define your waistline. You can belt a suit, coat, or dress for a new and /or put together look. Belts with interesting buckles are another way to add some style to your clothing. They are a way to give a basic outfit like a LBD (little black dress) different personalities or an updated look. For example a snakeskin, leopard print or a metallic belt can give your LBD three different looks.
Should the color of your shoes & purse match?
Shoes and purse colors do not have to match. A basic black and white outfit and black shoes looks fabulous with a bold colored purse. Not only is it a modern look, the bold color adds a POP of color to what you are wearing. The modern woman wears contrasting colors, textures and patterns at the same time. A brown dress might look awesome with an orange or yellow purse and nude color shoes. With a navy blue dress or suit you can wear a navy patent bag and green or crimson color shoes.
