Performance clothing is coming for evening wear. Evening wear is being influenced by athleisure clothing and today’s women looking for comfort. Designers such as Valentino and Miu Miu have begun to fashion evening wear from sporty fabrics such as Lycra, spandex and stretch polyester, fabrics that move with the body. In the past other designers such as Chanel, Pucci, Geoffrey Beene and Tom Ford have used stretchy fabrics such as jerseys in their evening clothing. However to ensure comfort and range of motion zippers and drawstrings are some elements that are being introduced into the new evening wear designs. You can pull this new look off with a stretchy solid color or colorful top and with separates such as skirts or classic pants with stylish shoes and jewelry. Top with a bomber jacket and you are good to go to a gala.
