Organizing Your Makeup 101
Organize Your Makeup
There is no one way to organize your makeup. We all have different products in our collections depending on what products we use. Organizing makeup should begin by taking inventory of what is in your collection. Probably we all have too much stuff. Begin by going through the products that you have and getting rid of the old products (all that are expired) and ones you never use.
Once you have thrown away the old stuff put all your remaining products together by category such as brushes, lipsticks, foundations, blushes, eye makeup, and nail polishes, etc. Next count each category and decide where you want to store things. Do you want to put somethings in a drawer or keep things in a container on a surface of some type. Sometimes you may want to put things in a drawer in several containers but keep some things out that you use everyday where you apply your makeup.
If you have a limited amount of makeup you might want to separate products with drawer dividers by types, lips, eyes, nails, etc. If your collection is large categorize items in their own areas and /or colors (mascaras, eye shadows, lipsticks, etc.).
A shopping trip to the Container Store or a similar shop to see what types of containers are available is the next step. Be sure to have measurements with you for drawers/ spaces.
