Street style in New York has a little bit of everything. Under the skyscrapers summer sizzles in Manhattan. The streets are bustling with crowds, energy and excitement. Fashion diva’s are everywhere; SOHO, Central Park, Broadway, 5th Avenue and wandering museums and other sights like the Statue of Liberty.

There seems to be many light weight dresses in different lengths. Florals, stripes and solid color styles dominate.  Comfortable and cool the shirtwaist style dress seems like a favorite. Of course there are many skirts, pants, shorts and jeans too. Many women like to keep their cool wearing tank tops. Hats and stylish eyewear are very popular on the streets. Women are trying to protect their skin from the harmful effects of the sun. A wide range of shoe styles are pounding the streets: sandals, flip-flops, flats, sneakers, and wedges. Handbags of all sizes are abundant.

New Yorkers’ and visitors from all over the world dress very casually. As you can see in the warm weather women are wearing less and showing a lot more skin in order to stay cool and comfortable. Denim is still popular and white is the go to color in the summer. Black is always very chic and sophisticated in NYC. Always very popular in the evening!
