Myanmar style and fashion is colorful, feminine and modest. Burmese women wear sarongs called longyi. Myanmar / Burma is a land of ancient history, beautiful landscapes and cultural and spiritual traditions. The people of Burma/Myanmar are very friendly but the country is poor. Temples, stupas, pagodas, magnificent Buddha’s and lively markets are every where you go in Myanmar / Burma.

Popular places to visit in Burma/Myanmar are Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. In Yangon the main attraction is the Shwedagon (“Golden Dragon”) Pagoda. the largest Buddhist templeof its kind in the world. Pagan is an ancient city with over 2200 temples and pagodas which have survived to the present day. Mandaly is regarded as the cultural and religious heart of the country and Inle Lake with fabulous floating gardens.

Many of these photos were taken in temples where women must wear covered up clothing and no shoes Myanmar / Burma is the world’s largest exporter of teak and an important source of jade, pearls, rubies and sapphires.
