As for color something colorful or in a neutral color is more upbeat than head to toe black since it is a daytime ceremony. Of course white is not an option since it is reserved for the bride. Solid colors or print dresses are options in a length that flatters you. A knee-length dress is usually better than a longer length dress for a morning wedding. A suit, pants and jacket or a skirt with a dressy top, for example a silk blouse, would also be in good taste for a morning wedding. The definition of good taste is something flattering on your body shape / type, not to tight, not too short and not to low-cut.
