Should you wear clothes with logos to the office?
Logos are graphics, emblems, or symbols used to aid and promote public recognition. Wearing clothes with logos to the office can be considered tacky and distracting. A brand logo on clothing attracts attention to that company not you and your ideas. Logos send messages; for example the CC on Chanel clothing says “I have money”, the Lululemon logo says I’m hip. When wearing clothing with logos to the office you are advertising a brand and delivering their message without getting paid for your hard work. If you want to wear an item with a logo to work choose a classic piece like a designer scarf and pair with neutral pieces (mixing high and low). Any in your face logo is not appropriate in an office environment. To logo or not to logo is up to you.
