Jewelry On Trend
Essential Jewelry Trends
Women love jewelry and most women have a treasured piece in their jewelry box. Jewelry personalizes your style. It can add a surprise element, make a statement or enhance an outfit. Three of the hottest 2020 jewelry trends are coin jewelry, chunky chains and cameos. They are also jewelry classics making them great investments.
Cameos go back to ancient Greece. They are profiles or objects carved in relief and set in jewelry such as earrings, pendants and rings. Last fall Cate Blanchett wore cameo earrings at the Venice Film Festival. A cameo is a combination of tradition and craftmanship, a miniature work of art. Today cameos are carved in sea shells. Usually they showcase women’s profiles.
Coin jewelry jingles and jangles if it has multiple coins or can dazzle when on a pendant or a brooch. If you fall under the “high maintenance” category you will probably not be satisfied with anything less than apiece of jewelry that has a rare coin(s) or collectible coin(s). However, coin jewelry doesn’t have to be unaffordable. When traveling to foreign countries you can collect interesting coins and have a piece of jewelry made when you arrive home. Or visit coin shops at home or when traveling to find unusual coins. Coins look fabulous on rings, brooches, necklaces and bracelets.
The chunky chain trend is back and bold. Chunky chain bracelets, rings and necklaces are back on trend in gold and silver. Chains are beguiling! Recently Kate Moss was spotted wearing a silver chain choker. Young fashionistas are accessorizing with heavy chain bracelets, rope-chain rings, anklets, belts, backpacks and clothing. Different styles of link jewelry are on fashion sites such as Matchesfashion.com and Shay Jewelry. Moschino marched models down the runway wearing multiple chains. See below:
