What to pack for Italy in late April? I have been invited to visit Italy with our Opera’s Board of Directors. We will be visiting Rome, Naples and Florence attending opera performances, visiting special Italian monuments / sights and dining in private homes. The trip is one week-long.
Italy in late April should be divine and the trip you have described sounds very special. Check the weather for the week you will be there before packing. Bring as little as possible. Pants and pencil skirts are easy to pack, resist wrinkles and don’t take up a lot of room in your luggage.
For daytime bring pants and /or skirts with several different tops and a lightweight jacket. Bring comfortable shoes for walking and visiting sights. For evening tailored pants and dressy tops and/or a slip dress with heels. Bring or wear a trench coat for day and/or evening.
Plan an outfit for each day before you pack and wear things more than once. Vary your outfits with accessories such as scarfs and costume jewelry that draw attention to your face area. Be sure to have an umbrella with you for April showers. Keep it simple.
Tip: Leather jackt and Burberry trench for outfits. Viscose tops from Wolford are washable. Ferragamo scarfs and Statement earrings are great accessories.
