Can I wear over the knee (OTK) boots in warm weather?

Common sense says over the knee (OTK) boots are too hot to wear in hot weather. Of course if you are comfortable wearing them and they are flattering on you with what you are wearing go for it but you may be very uncomfortable. OTK boots are very stylish and there are not too many hard and fast rules when it comes to fashion these days.
