How can I dress with style using a mobility scooter?
How can I dress with style using a mobility scooter? I am a disabled female 33 years old, and use a mobility scooter to get out and about. I can’t walk or wear anything tight on my knees because it causes pain and discomfort. I have tried wearing midi length skirts but they tend to blow up when I’m on my scooter because of the wind. I am just totally lost on what to wear since becoming disabled. I have lost my style.
Wide-leg pants and/or palazzo pants are roomy and should be comfortable to wear with your mobility scooter. Build a pants wardrobe around one neutral color (black, brown, navy or gray). Your shoes should be the same color as your pants. Then invest in some colorful tops in solid colors and prints. Stylish tops will give you an energetic and youthful look. Wearing statement earrings, a statement necklace, hat or a neck scarf that coordinates with your top will draw attention to your face area and away from your disability.
Also get a great haircut and flattering makeup and you will be très chic! Using a mobility scooter doesn’t mean you can’t look stylish.

Build A Basic Wardrobe
There is no perfect basic wardrobe that applies to all. A basic wardrobe takes into consideration lifestyle or clothing for all of our activities. If you are a hockey coach your wardrobe is going to be a lot different from a corporate lawyer’s. However when we choose a basic article of clothing it is something we should plan on wearing many times (getting our money’s worth). These items are like good investments since they will reward us many times in the future. When buying basics purchase quality pieces, not necessarily the most expensive.
Accessorize Like the French
The French chic know how to transform their look with accessories. They accessorize to change the look of their neutral color, classic, basic style clothing. French women know how to add a trendy accessory every season. They accessorize their basics with one or two other colors. They always buy trendy items that go with what they have in their closet. A good quality bold, splashy color handbag or a trendy detail like a new shade of lipstick will accessorize a basic.
