Should I wear stockings to a formal wedding?
A formal wedding does not require stockings. However if you are not planning to wear stockings to a formal wedding, you should have good-looking legs that have a nice color. If you are wearing a floor length dress stockings are optional. Stockings are not necessary in hot humid weather. Also if you wear toe less shoes or strappy sandals it is not chic to wear nude/neutral color hosiery. Colored hosiery works with closed toe, open toe shoes, or strappy sandals. Stockings give your outfit a more polished look, when wearing a cocktail dress with closed toe pumps or closed toe slingback style shoes, and they keep your legs warm in cold weather.
