What is fashion’s future?
“less is more chic”
Going forward the future of fashion is”less is more chic”. There was a move afoot to buy less but buy quality over quantity before the Covid19 pandemic. However, the virus has made us aware we don’t need all the clothes we have in our closets. Many of us have found that our closets are stuffed with clothes we are not wearing. However, the virus has made us aware we don’t need all the clothes we have in our closets. Many of us have found that our closets are stuffed with clothes we are not wearing.
Today we love wearing our favorite, comfortable pieces of clothing over and over again, which is a great strategy since we are mostly staying at home. When this virus ends and we go back to work and social events, we will enjoy dressing up again. However, there will be a change in the way we dress. We will continue to wear comfortable, looser fitting clothing as casual is comfortable. Casual chic will be the fashion trend going forward. More relaxed styles of clothing are what we will favor. Most structured/fitted clothing will not feel comfortable and wearing them in the future will not be stylish.
Comfortable, Looser Fitting Clothing
Since we don’t know when this limited lifestyle will end, there is no need to rush out and spend money on clothing unless you need something. When shopping online, it is important to think quality, comfort and what will flatter our body-types. Also, look for things that you can mix and match. Three quarters of a clothing budget should be spent on quality basics that work with our lifestyle. Be selective when purchasing new clothes.
The reward for implementing “less is more chic”will be: saving money and time as well as feeling more organized and confident.
