What is entitlement dressing?
Entitlement means the fact of having a right to something or deserving of privileges or special treatment. When it comes to fashion, entitlement dressing is when women wear something that does not fit the traditional dress code for the occasion. In other words wearing an unbecoming outfit for an event, unusual ensemble or dressing informally when you should be formal. For example wearing a micro miniskirt to a Memorial service in a church -out of place-disrespectful. Another example of entitlement dressing is a female guest that attends a wedding in a white dress or a woman showing up in a tank top in the executive suite.
