Red is a classic color associated with Valentine’s Day. When we wear red we convey many positive feelings such as energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Reds are always in style and are ruling fashion today.

Red on Valentine’s Day symbolizes love for many and is a very emotionally intense color. In China, red is associated with good luck and fortune and many brides choose to wear red color wedding dresses. In India, a red mark on the forehead is said to bring good luck. At one time red symbolized importance, prestige, and wealth since red dyes were very expensive.

What are we saying when we are wear in red? We are expressing a number of qualities such as a desire to be noticed, warmth, a high energy level, a youthful attitude, happiness, enthusiasm, and confidence to name a few. Darker color reds are more subtle than bright reds but convey the same messages.
