Culottes are an international fashion trend and are considered timeless, “statement” style. Culottes are wide-legged separates, half skirt and half pants. They have the movement of a skirt with the ease and practicality of pants. No longer considered frumpy, they are crafted in beautiful fabrics such as silks, calfskin/ leather, denim, prints, and bright colors. Culottes in conservative colors will work in the office and are great for travel. Choose a length that flatters your height. They look very chic on tall, thin divas. Culottes look fabulous just below the knee or just below the calf. Avoid any length that hits the thickest part of the leg and keep the other elements in your outfit simple. Style with boots, ankle shoes, pumps, sandals or sneakers.
