How can I cover scars on my arms & legs & look stylish?
How can I dress with style covering scars on my arms & legs? I’m middle aged, but due to a terrible car accident I have some bad scars on my arms and legs. Would love to wear shorts or shorter dresses or skirts. As for sleeveless tops , any suggestions to wear tops or dresses while covering my arms?
You want to cover scars on your arms & legs. Most everyone has short comings they want to hide. In fact most women want to hide their arms and legs as they age. Decide to emphasize the positive. Create your own signiture style. For tops choose 3/4 length sleeves in bold colors that will give you an energetic and youthful look plus hide scaring. Forget about wearing shorts, short skirts and dresses. Build a wardrobe of great looking flattering pants and jeans that will work with your bold color tops. Add colorful scarves and / or attractive jewelry to your outfits that draw attention to your face area. Get a great hairstyle and /or hair color and flattering makeup. Hats will add style to any outfit and will also bring focus to you. Also work on staying in shape.

How can one develop a signature style of their own?
One can develop a signature style of their own by wearing clothing that flatters their figure type and that suits their lifestyle and age. Once one determines what looks best on them they can build their wardrobe with those styles and begin to develop a style of your own. Time and experimentation trying different style clothes on and checking in the mirror will help. Another way to set yourself apart is to use an accessory to personalize your look. Anna Wintour (pictured), editor of Vogue, wears sunglasses and Madeline Albright wears big pins (brooches). A particular style of handbag, bright color scarves, jewelry or interesting hosiery (if you want to draw attention to your legs) will work also.
Madeline Albright Creates A Personal Style
Read My Pins was an exhibit of the former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright. Her collection consists of over 200+ brooches/pins. The Madeline Albright exhibition examined the collection’s historic significance and demonstrates the power of jewelry to be “ice breakers,” convey and/or communicate messages in social and political situations and create a personal style.
Jeans Add Style for Older Diva’s
Older divas are up-to-date women (over 50) who have personal style and a confident attitude. If you don’t have a pair of jeans or are afraid to wear them, it isn’t too late. Jeans continue to be a mainstay in a modern gal’s wardrobe. Depending on how and when they are worn, jeans can be stylish on older divas.
