The corset trend is hot, hip and new for this summer! The Italian fashion designer, Prada, showed corsets at her spring /summer collection. According to Prada you can wear this trend over everything: tees, jeans, track pants, sweaters, jackets, skirts, dresses, coats, blouses and / or shirts.

Corsets come in a number of versions some of which most of us would not wear out in public. However there are casual styles out there that are easy to wear. They are not binding like what we think of as traditional lingerie style corsets, uncomfortable and too sexy to wear everyday. Of course the celebrities can strut these styles.

The corset trend is great for tall ladies but if you are short go for a monochromatic color scheme and pair your outfit with heels. Corsets look great with high-waisted pants and jeans or layered over anything. It is tricky to wear a lacy version of the corset and avoid looking cheap. If you want to try wearing a lacy style wear a jacket or blazer over your outfit. You can update any outfit instantly with this new accessory, the corset!

The corset trend was introduced last fall by some designers and is now become hot and will continue to be strong this coming fall. It might be a good investment this summer if you can continue to wear them in the fall.
