Is there a dress code for church services?
Is there a dress code for church services? I plan to visit a local church this Sunday to explore a different religion.
Church services vary depending on religions but you should show respect when you go into a house of worship. Clothing at church services varies depending on location of the church, type of service and age of the worshipers. In general clothing has become very casual today so you can see every type of clothing at church services. A dress code that is appropriate for any church service is clothing that is modest (not too tight, too short or too low-cut). A simple dress or separates will work at most church services. At one time women were required to cover their arms and head when visiting a church. Some women wear hats today but they are not required. Women wear what they want today and unfortunately that doesn’t mean it’s right for the occasion.

Dress Codes
It is almost always exciting and fun when a party invitation arrives. However sooner or later we have to start to think about what we will wear. When types of “dress codes” are indicated such as “Smart Casual”, “Cocktail Party attire,” “Tailgate Party”, “Festive”, “Cocktail Chic” or etc. it can throw us for a loop. Where should one begin to figure out what any of these types of dress codes mean?
Summer Sales, Stretch Your Clothing Dollars
Stretch Your clothing dollars in August but do a closet audit first. Go through your summer wardrobe and start tossing out summer clothes that don’t fit you or you have not been wearing this season. You can take the rejects to your favorite charity and get a tax write off. The keepers are pieces that are in good condition and that you wear more often than anything else.
