Chiang Mai Street Fashion
Chiang Mai Street Fashion
Chiang Mai street fashion is very casual. The weather is warm. Women wear everything and anything but mostly lightweight clothing. Women’s dress is modest for visiting the many temples scattered about the bustling old city. Short sleeve tops and skirts or pants that cover the knees are required. Hats are the most popular accessory to protect from the hot sun while going about town. Another must are comfortable shoes that you can slide off and on. Shoes or socks are not worn in the Temples. Chiang Mai is the largest and most culturally significant city in Northern Thailand and means “new city”. Besides many temples there are lots of markets selling clothing and all types of handicrafts.
