A maxi dress is a long floaty dress that is associated with summer and casual. They look especially cool at summer parties, the beach and summer outdoor weddings. However there are many different styles and color maxi dresses that would look stylish at a formal wedding. A solid color maxi dress would work for an indoor formal wedding. Avoid maxi dresses that are very casual in style, striped and have large prints if you are a wedding guest at a formal wedding. A small floral print maxi dress would look nice at an outdoor, country, formal wedding in warm weather.
