What should I wear to a business dinner at an expensive restaurant? I have to go to a business dinner party in January as a date. The dinner is at an expensive restaurant but my date said that everyone at his work wears jeans. Can I wear a dress?
Business dinner parties can be tricky. If jeans are accessorized in a stylish way they can work at a good restaurant. For example velvet or leather jeans are great if you want to do jeans. Dark jeans with a dressy blouse, and heels accessorized with a glitzy bag and / or tasteful jewelry would look great at a business dinner. Since you are a guest you can wear separates such as pants or skirt with a dressy top. If you would feel more comfortable in a dress go for a simple LBD and wear with heels, tasteful jewelry and top with a blazer or stylish jacket. The most important thing to consider when choosing your outfit is to error on the conservative side. Don’t wear anything too tight, to short or too low-cut.
