Are skinny jeans out of fashion?

Are skinny jeans out of fashion? My daughters are telling me that my skinny jeans are out. If they are high waisted, can I still wear them?

Skinny jeans may be out of fashion for your daughters but I see plenty of women wearing slim style pants and skinny jeans. Stylish women don’t follow trends but wear clothing that flatters their body type and that is comfortable.

Young women love to wear trendy clothes and look to movie stars, entertainers and/or actresses to find out the latest styles and trends. They want to try to look like them. However, sometimes a style they like and see on someone they admire does not flatter them and they shouldn’t wear it.

Women should determine their body type and build a wardrobe around classic pieces of clothing that flatter them and work for the activities they engage in.

Many styles of jeans are on-trend if they look good on you. If skinny jeans (classics now), flatter you and you are comfotable wearing them for the activities you do keep wearing them.

What style of women’s dress pants & jeans are in vogue?
Dress pants and jeans in every style are “in vogue”. Bootcut, flare, wide leg, skinny and straight leg styles are all in style today as long as they are flattering on you. Designers are promoting high waist, straight leg pants this year but most women are continuing to wear slim pants. Wide-legged pants look fabulous if you are tall, but don’t work on short females. If you are “hippy” slim-style ankle pants won’t look good on you. Wide bottomed / flare pants are best on hippy women because they balance their hips. Most fashion trends are being dictated by modern women (not designers) who are into casual and comfortable clothes that make them look awesome. For example, search any retailer website and search “women’s pants” you will see a variety of pant styles to choose from. When choosing any fashion to wear you need to know your body type in order to know what is flattering on you. Chic women ignore trends and wear clothes that make them look great!
