Blazers that coordinate but do not match pants are very chic. A blazer is a wardrobe staple and will anchor a trendy piece or add authority and some style to almost any outfit. Consider the fit of your blazer. It should work for your figure type. For example if you are petite an oversized blazer style would probably not look good on you. If you have broad shoulders blazers with shoulder pads might not work. Taller women can get away with fitted or oversized style blazers.

A navy blue blazer, single or double-breasted, is considered a classic style. What you wear with it and / or how you wear it  gives it a modern look. Blazers in different colors or fabrics can look very updated. For example a velvet, leopard print, metallic or camouflage print blazer will look very au courant.
