Anthelios SX with Mexoryl Miracle Sunscreen
Anthelios SX with Mexoryl Miracle Sunscreen?
Helps prevent wrinkles, brown spots, yellowing, sagging & aging of the skin.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved sunscreens with Anthelios SX with Mexoryl, to be sold over-the-counter (OTC) for the prevention of sunburn and for protection against ultraviolet B (UVB) and ultraviolet A (UVA) rays. Anthelios SX with Mexoryl, has been available in Europe and other countries around the world for many years. Although the French authorities are said to be tougher than the USA they approved the key ingredient in Anthelios SX, a sunblock called Mexoryl, in 1993. It wasn’t until 2006 that the FDA approved Mexoryl in the USA.
Mexoryl is thought to be helpful in preventing wrinkles, brown spots, yellowing, sagging and aging of the skin. When researchers tested the product Mexoryl, avobenzone, titanium dioxide plus other ingredients they found Mexoryl more effective in protecting against UVA light. UVA light goes through the outer layer of skin into the dermis and does more damage than UVB light.
The FDA press release quoted Steven Galson, M.D., Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. “Sunscreens are an important part of total sun protection strategy as consumers arm themselves against the harmful sun rays. While this product provides protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays, FDA continues to recommend that in addition to using a sunscreen, consumers protect themselves from sun exposure by limiting time in the sun and wearing protective clothing.”
Caution: Some Anthelios SX products on the market (including the Internet) do not contain Mexoryl. Look at the ingredients before you purchase.
