The Golden Globe Awards – Fashions in Black Dominated
The Golden Globe Awards were dominated by fashions in black last week. The winner, Oprah Winfrey, of the Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globes , wore a Versace Atelier. A very tasteful, off the shoulder style gown with statement earrings, drawing attention upward away from her body.
Very few fashions with color were there making the wearing of black a powerful statement for Times Up. Times Up is a fund run by the National Women’s Law Center to subsidize legal support for folks who have experienced sexual harassment.

The fashions at the Golden Globe Awards were mostly black but sidewise they ran a gamut from tasteful to pretty bad. Below a few of the best and worst of fashions worn by celebrities. Below showing good taste are three stylish ladies at the awards. Left is Jamie Chung in Ermanno, center Tiziana Rocca and right Angelina Jollie.
Three designs that are not awesome (in my opinion) and style is subjective. On the left Margot Robbie in Roger Vivier. The V neckline draws the attention to the lower part of the dress instead of her beautiful face. In the center is Halle Berry wearing a Zuhair Murad. Way too low to be attractive plus too much going on. Sarah Jessica Parker wearing a Dolce & Gabbana does not flatter her. The midi length doesn’t work for her.
