Fashion Trends to Invest in This Fall
OMG it’s already time to deal with fall fashion trends! On travels to cities around the world women are dressing in casual and comfortable clothing. Footwear is the perfect example. Gone are stilettos. Women are favoring low heel shoes, sneakers, running shoes, midi heels and kitten heels. 2” – 3 ½” heels are very popular among professional women who are demanding comfort. Low heel shoes look great with trousers, jeans or skirts. Heels that extend from the very back of the shoe or square heels are the more flattering styles.
Skirts for fall 2014 are midi length, straight, bias cut, filmy silk, circle, or short (for younger fashion divas). Handkerchief hems, asymmetrical hems and pleaded skirts are winners this fall.
Pants are cropped, wide legged trousers, cargo pants and culottes, but slim pants are still hot.
Accessories for fall favor patent leather. Handbags such as the bucket bag, packet clutch, fur bags, and soft leather pochette envelopes are “in style”. Belts are being worn on suits, cocktail dresses and coats.
Dresses are long hostess, maxi dresses , shirtdresses, t-shirt dresses, tunics, sheaths and slim fitting styles.
Coats for fall have special details. Over sized coats and boxy multicolored fun furs, puffer coats and capes are strong for 2014.
Colors for fall 2014 are dusty blue. sunshine yellow, topaz, .a lot of reds and black are favorites..
Fabrics for fall are brocades, leather, wool, cashmere, tweeds, knits, velvets, lace, jacquards and satin.
Other fashion favorites for fall are simple, chunky, crew neck sweaters, statement sleeves, high collars, plaids, checks, graphic and animal prints. Zippers, gold studding, fringe, military fastenings and metallic shine are very popular.
Shearling, long, short, natural, dyed, shaved, curly inside, outside and or functional luxury are hot trends.
For high-powered women the single breasted, one button, slightly shrunken or cropped top suit in lighter colors is very chic and modern.
